| Born in Wisconsin, as a young boy Tim developed
talents in a variety of arts such as drawing, painting and wood-craving.
His moved to Alaska in the 80's opened up new mediums in which to express
his talents and love for the outdoors. Moved by the beauty of antler he
took up carving moose and caribou antler as well as sheep horn. He started
his own business, North Country Carving in the early 1990's. You can see
his passion for wildlife with each piece that he creates. With all the
fine detail he strives to capture that moment in time. Antler alone is
truly an art from above. By bringing out an image in this medium it leaves
the people who see his work with the feeling of being one with nature.
Living and experiencing Alaska has been an inspiration to his work and
is where his heart lies. |
