There is no need to search for the mouse on this piece; there are 15
mice scattered about the six friendly felines
who lounge on an antique chair. Inside the box lies a slice of Swiss
cheese. When the lid is removed, you
will find the inscription “Dr 3 20.5.96.” This is a reference to the
death of British actor Jon Pertwee,
who was the third actor to play Doctor Who in the widely popular British
sci-fi television show by the
same name. The chairs have undergone numerous colouration changes.
The first 66 chairs were brown,
the next 446 were green, after which the rest were painted yellow.
Hallmarks include ©,
diamond, clock face with month 5, HBC logo, and Pc.
