There is no escaping the fact that cats are very popular, so it was
about time that Peter tackled another one.
“Rumble Seat” and “Tony’s Tabbies” were two of his most successful
sculptures, so he was ready to recreate the look.
The stepladder carved in “Emperor’s New Clothes” gave him the idea
of what framework to use for his latest
cat box figurine. He has filled the stepladder with an unfeasibly large
number of cats. On close inspection,
you may even find an extra head or possibly a two-headed cat. Peter
inscribed “Phoenix” as he is looking
forward to the 2006 HOP convention in this Arizona city. “1234” represents
Millie’s (Peter’s two-year-old daughter)
proficiency with counting. “Bambi spits” is an inside joke between
Peter and Harmony Ball’s Bobbie Hill.
The hidden rattlesnake makes his second appearance on this fixed edition
box figurine,
and the interior portrays a cat covered in paint.
