"Night In Day" first appeared as a painting which introduced Blackshear's unique Afro Noveau style -
a style heavily influenced by Art Noveau and Art Deco. This allegorical design shows night as a man
wrapped in daylight. Blackshear uses color and symbolism to create both nighttime and daytime.
